Endless Vale (2019)
Annasara Bjaaland (b. 1993) Endless Vale (2019) 5 Wooden framed inkjet prints on bamboo paper, 70x100cm What Annasara Bjaaland’s work have in common is how they occur. In a need to hold on to things Bjaaland tries to preserve places, objects or persons with photography as a medium, even though there is some difficulties in this matter. In Endless Vale, Bjaaland examines the relationship towards the landscape. In a personal way important, and for the artist, impermanent places in nature. The work is an effort to in a virtual way talk about all these important places we have, when photographs themselves are not entirely capable of evoking the presence of these places. The artist finds it interesting how the sky in a pensive way bring all these places together.
